| Intersection of 40 Highway & 7 Highway |
This major intersection is home to a host of retailers who thrive on the
area's high traffic county (35,000 vehicles/day) and easy access including
Hy-Vee, Cosentino's Price Chopper, Ace Westlake Hardware, Big Lots and
Beauty Brands. In addition the intersection of these two major roadways
has drawn a host of restaurants and financial and service providers such as:
Golden Corral, 54th Street Bar & Grill; Side Pockets; Tanner's; Fazoli's;
Ponderosa Steakhouse; US Bank; Bank of America; First National Bank and First
American Title.
The City and Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation are working on plans
today with multiple developers to redevelop the former sites of Wal-Mart, K-Mart,
the Mall at Fall Creek and White Oak Shopping Center to assist them in advancing
the introduction of new retailers in contemporary retail settings to this
high-visibility and trafficked intersection.
